Energizing Morning Mist!

I want to share a simple recipe I use to kick my mind into gear first thing in the morning. It's a  refreshing body mist I make at home with 100% pure essential oils and distilled water. There are many benefits to aromatherapy and using pure, organic oils in your beauty routine.  Each oil has a different benefit and can be used in several ways. I gather a lot of my information from Aura Cacia’s helpful “Learn” link on their website. I’ve done a lot of research on essential oils and they’re the brand I prefer because they’re committed to transparency, have organic oils, and care a lot about the environment.

What You Need for a Energizing Morning Mist

  • 100% Pure Peppermint oil
  • 100% Pure Grapefruit oil 
  • 100% Pure Lemongrass oil 
  • 1 small glass spray bottle (I prefer them in a 2 oz size) 
  • Distilled H2o

Together the aroma is energizing and inspiring - I can't help but smile when I spray it! It's a great reminder to seize the day ahead. 

Morning Energizing Mist Recipe! 

  • 1 oz distilled water
  • 3 drops of grapefruit
  • 2 drops of peppermint
  • 2 drops of lemongrass

That’s it! Don’t forget to shake before you spray!! Oh, and if the mix of three oils is too much for now, a great way to ease in to essential oils is to mix 6-7 drops of peppermint with 1 oz of distilled water for a morning spray, or use mix 6-7 drops of lavender with 1 oz of distilled water for a night time pillow spray. These are great intros to essential oils and super easy to make. Once you learn the benefits and find beautiful scents you like, trust me you’ll be hooked!
